The trade turnover between Russia and Tajikistan by the end of 2022 increased by 18% and amounted to almost $ 1.5 billion, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said, speaking at the plenary session of the conference on interregional cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan on Thursday.
“Trade and economic cooperation is developing dynamically. According to the results of last year, the trade turnover increased by 18% and amounted to $ 1.5 billion. This is, of course, a record figure for the last twenty years, but it’s quite a bit,” Mishustin said.
He also said that Russia occupies one of the leading places in terms of investments in the economy of Tajikistan. “The total amount of accumulated capital investments exceeds $ 1.5 billion. Russian companies are actively working in the backbone sectors of the economy – in construction, energy, industry, communications, financial services,” the Prime minister added.
